Kurnell Public School provides a caring and supportive environment where academic excellence is encouraged and the uniqueness, personality and talents of individuals are valued and developed in a positive atmosphere which fosters tolerance, kindness, optimism and respect. A priority of the school is to provide activities which broaden the children's experiences in the wider community. We successfully participate in a range of inter-school sport, creative & performing arts, academic competitions and public speaking. The school plays an important role in the community by focussing on healthy lifestyles, including the promotion of active modes of transport to and from school, such as cycling and walking. Excursions are planned for all years with major excursions in Years 5 and 6. Student welfare remains uppermost in school planning and is strongly underpinned by our peer support, child protection and anti-bullying programs. Our positive reward system is a feature of the school. The school actively promotes a 'Nut-Free School Environment'.
