Cassilis is a small K-6 rural school on the western edge of the upper Hunter Valley providing a family atmosphere for children from diverse backgrounds. Emphasis is placed on assisting each student to reach their full potential. Welfare, caring for children and providing opportunities to overcome geographic isolation are high priorities. Our population is often changing due to families moving in, or leaving, the district, however, new students find it very easy to settle in as integral members of our school. Class members are encouraged to keep contact with ex-students to maintain friendships.
