Woodlands Primary School was opened in February, 1964. Many large trees provide the school with a delightfully picturesque and shady environment. Woodlands is an inner suburb of Perth. The school population is slowly increasing. Some of the school's parents attended the school as children. A high percentage of the population is engaged in professional occupations. At Woodlands Primary School students have access to a quality, challenging education. Students have the opportunity of reaching their full potential. They are enthusiastic about the learning program and developing their social, physical and creative abilities. The students and staff enjoy being a part of the school community. The music program is significant, providing excellent experiences for the students. They have the opportunity of nominating for lessons in violin, cello, piano, clarinet or brass. The string ensemble and choir are highly regarded. Physical education is important. We engage in school and interschool competitions in athletics, cross country running, swimming and winter sports. Woodlands is warm and caring environment facilitated by an effective working relationship between parents, students and staff.
