This school has 17.4 equivilent full time staff consisting of one Principal Class, 12.6 Teacher Class and 4.8 Educational Support class. There were 234 students enrolled in 2010. Pascoe Vale Primary School provides quality, balanced, comprehensive teaching and learning programs in all areas, Specialist programs are provided in Languages other than English (Italian) for grades 1-6, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Library, Developmental Play for preps and English as a Second Language. Together with our classroom structures we provide interventionand extension programs in literacy and numeracy. The school offers children a wide range of extra learning experiences such as inter school sport, Thursday evening netball, Friday club and GATEWAYS. Students have access to programs in Instrumental Music, Band, Intensive Swimming, Environmental Education and a Camping Program. A prep/Year 6 Buddy system, Peer Support, Junior School Council and Student Leaders program operate along with Welfare programs such as Peer Support and Bounce Back. All classrooms have access to interactive whiteboards,interactive whiteboard tablets and network computer facilities. A 1:1 Netbook Program operates in the grades 5/6.Our curriculum provides stimulating open ended extension activities to challenge high achievers. Explicit teaching and quality teaching and learning promote student learning for all.
