Our school has a long tradition of providing quality Catholic education in Morwell. The school was established in 1884, and from 1907 until 1992 was administered by the Sisters of St Joseph. Sacred Heart has been extensively refurbished over the past years including a new administration block, the refurbishment of all classrooms in 2006 into modern, bright and comfortable learning environments, and a new multi-purpose room used for school gatherings and extra-curricular activities. In 2011, we anticipate the completion of our new library. We are a school that prides itself on the pastoral care offered to each child. We aim to educate our students to be skilled, informed, tolerant, open and just, to discover God and to reach their full potential. The curriculum at Sacred Heart is inclusive and allows for success. All children are encouraged and supported throughout their years here. We also recognise the importance technology has in the world today, so each class has access to the latest interactive technology. Our teachers understand that children have different gifts and talents, and that curriculum needs to be tailored to the ability level and learning style of each child.
