Seville Primary School is situated on the Warburton Highway in a semi rural area of the picturesque Yarra Valley. The school is made up of a collection of permanent and relocatable buildings with the Federally Funded Building project providing additional teaching spaces. Our student population has been affected by a steady increase in student mobility which has seen numbers decline in recent years. Numbers will start at 147 in 2011. The our staff is made up of 1 Principal Class Officer, 7.8 EFT Teaching staff and 2.9 EFT Educational Support staff. Our motto “Growing and Learning Together” and our core values of Safety, Respect, Learning, Friendship, Having Fun and Doing Our Best reflect the beliefs we hold about how children learn, how our school will operate and how we relate to one another. We are committed to the continual enhancement of our student wellbeing programs and School Chaplaincy. Student leadership is promoted through School Captains, House Captains and Junior School Council members. In addition to the seven classrooms, in 2011 the school will have specialist staff in the areas of Visual Arts, Music and Auslan. Library and Physical Education are taught by classroom teachers. We encourage parental involvement in school activities and pride ourselves on the strong ties we have with the local community.
