Woodford Primary School located in a semi rural community, is committed to providing an environment which encourages and recognises the right of all students to reach their full potential. Co-operation, self-discipline and considerate social behaviour are encouraged, along with the fostering of self-esteem and independence. With a full time Principal, equivalent of 8.6 teahing staff and 2.7 ES staff, our school provides a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards . Curriculum delivery for our 147 students is facilitated through a mixture of single year level classes and multi-aged classes complemented by specialist areas in Music, Physical Education and Reading Recovery. Co-curricular and extra-curricular value adding programs augment and enhance the formal curriculum, complementing and enriching students’ learning experiences The success of this school is due to the partnership that has been forged between the school itself and the community it serves. The support of the parent body for the management and delivery of all facets of school programs has ensured the growth of the school. The delivery of policies and programs by a caring and professional staff is appreciated by our community which is proud of the achievements we have consistently been able to realize.
