St Thomas' Aquinas School is a small Catholic primary school in Norlane, a suburb of Geelong, catering for families who are looking for a Catholic education. The school was established in 1954 by the Sisters of Mercy. We have recently re-established our links with the Sisters of Mercy and their core values of Respect, Justice, Compassion, Integrity and Excellence. St Thomas' offers a personalised, caring environment based on the needs of the individual student. We strive to welcome all in our community and be accessible to everyone. Small classes are a feature of our school as is the commitment of the dedicated staff to the needs of the students. We provide a comprehensive range of subjects, including Religious Education and an Integrated Curriculum. Literacy and numeracy are a major focus of our teaching with a two hour literacy block and one hour mathematics block each day. Building positive relationships between all members of the community is important for the wellbeing of all. To this end, we promote a Restorative model of student behaviour management.
