Ranfurly Primary School has a dedicated, skilled staff who are committed to improving outcomes for students. We are very proud of the variety of programs offered at our school to support student learning. Staff are coached in high level literacy and numeracy strategies and our ongoing priorities are to improve student learning in Literacy and Numeracy, with Inquiry Learning being an integral part of our teaching and learning program. The 2010 SFO is 0.6765 indicating diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The school’s ethos is contained in our motto of Respect, Pride and Safety and these values govern all aspects of school operations. The well-being of each student is a high priority. Our school community values on-going learning. School Council, Parents Club and the wider community are very supportive of the school and the learning partnership between home and school is strongly emphasised. In 2010 Ranfurly Primary School had 40.17 equivalent fulltime staff (2 Principal Class, 2 Leading Teachers, 27.3 teachers, 8.87 ES staff) plus several maintenance and support staff. We offer our 440 students an attractive, safe and stimulating learning environment. Students learn in modern and well-maintained facilities and the pleasant surrounds are conducive to student learning and wellbeing. During 2010 the school undertook a full school review in line with DEECD requirements and prepared a new Strategic Plan.
