Glengarry Primary School is located 9 km from Traralgon in the Latrobe Valley. Established in 1888, Glengarry Primary School enjoys a friendly, rural atmosphere that provides similar facilities to those offered by schools in larger centres. The original historic school building is an important feature of our current school. As a caring school community, we endeavour to create an exciting, fulfilling and harmonious educational setting for all students, staff and parents. As a true community based school, we have a close relationship and utilise the resources of local organisations, eg, Football club, Tennis club, Scouts, Netball and the Recreational Reserve.The school currently has an enrolment of 122 students, 1 Principal, 9 teachers (3 fulltime and 6 partime) and 4 Education Support Staff. The school provides a comprehensive curriculum, additional programs offered include Life Education, Religious Education, visiting Arts Council Performances, Sporting Clinics (eg. Auskick), Inter School Sports, Swimming, Camping Program for Years 3 – 6. In 2011 the school has a 1:1 netbook program for children in grades 3-6 to further maximise educational outcomes. Under the Building Education Revolution program the school received three classrooms with a central learning studio, all classrooms have access to an outdoor learning area.
