Weeroona College Bendigo is committed to promoting the academic, social, personal and spiritual development of its students by providing a comprehensive and up-to-date education in a stimulating and supportive environment. WCB - We Create Brilliance. We are located in northern Bendigo with an enrolment of 710 year 1 to 10 students in 2010. In 2009 the college council made the decision to phase out the primary section of our college which will enable us to focus on the Bendigo Education Plan (BEP). As a BEP school we will be in a brand new school by 2012, designed and built to support innovative curriculum and pedagogy. Stage one of our new school is in operation with two of its four learning communities of students and staff enjoying state of the art facilities that allow for stage related learning for each individual student. We offer a balanced core curriculum for our junior students and years 9 &10 students study a range of core and elective subjects including VET and VCE programs. Opportunities for students are enhanced through an emphasis on leadership development programs, we have a strong tradition in the Arts area including an instrumental music program, bands, arts spectaculars and musical productions and our students perform exceptionally well in a large range of team and individual sports. We work hard to ensure that all our students are safe and supported in their learning environment. Our staff consists of 2 principal class members, 54.15 teachers and 18.17 education support staff, which is an EFT of 74.32.
