Koroit and District Primary School (staff 12.4 EFT: 1 Principal, 8.2 teachers and 3.2 ES)is committed to programs that develop and value the whole student. Focused teaching enables extension with strong individual support for students with special learning needs. We develop our staff to be the best educators possible, employing a coach in literacy and enrolling teachers in Masters in Education literacy and numeracy. We are proud of our focus on student wellbeing and the opportunities to build self esteem, confidence and leadership with each individual. We work closely with families in this positive approach to student wellbeing, offering proactive approaches e.g. "Catch them Being Good', class conferences and role plays. We commit to building 'healthy relationships'. Our skilled teachers use Information and Communication Technologies, to develop skills while deepening the learning and thinking at a local and global level. We have increasing access to 1:1 computers. We have newly built learning spaces which are designed for flexible teaching and learning of whole class, small group, individual instruction and independent work. We promote sustainablility and healthy living. This is reflected in our curriculum, our building and garden design, policies for management and operations and in actions into the community
