2010 was the second year of Myrtleford P-12 College created from the merge of Myrtleford Primary School and Myrtleford Secondary College. Several projects either commenced during 2010 or are projected. These are a Science language centre (BER funded), a Years 5-8 learning centre (BER funded), a Trade Training Centre facility to teach VET Engineering and Building & Construction (federally funded), a new bus lane (Dept of Transport funded) and an office admin upgrade (Hume Region funded). 2010 also the beginning of the Performing Arts Centre, funded under the Local Schools Working Together initative. 2010 student enrolment was 263 students, organised in three teams – Prep-4, 5-8 and 9-12. The principles of Positive Behaviour Support and Restorative Practice underpin relationships within the school community. The staff consists of 3 Principal class, 29 teachers and 12 Education Support staff. The school’s vision statement, developed in 2008 states, Myrtleford P-12 College is a community of enthusiastic, energetic and engaged learners - Students are motivated to learn; Each student is encouraged to achieve their best in a safe and supportive environment; A seamless curriculum links the stages of Learning; Teachers are supported to maintain excellence in teaching practice; Ties with the community are actively developed and strengthened.
