MPPS prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, inclusive practices & philosophy that allows all students to feel valued. Teachers have high expectations of behaviour & achievement in academic, creative and sporting endeavours. A strong focus on literacy & numeracy means all students get the best start possible. Situated in outer urban Melbourne at Endeavour Hills, MPPS facilities include Art, ESL & Reading Recovery rooms; an ICT lab, a library, a music room, two gyms & sports facilities. In 2010 MPPS had 411 students, from 25 ethnic or Aboriginal backgrounds, 36.3 equivalent full-time staff: 2 Principal class, 24.6 teachers and 9.73 Education Support Staff. We offer many support programs to alleviate disadvantage due to our high intake of students with English as a second language, high levels of transience and welfare needs. Students, parents, and teachers share values of respect, acceptance of others; compassion and caring; honesty; persistence and determination; responsibility, and cooperation. We attribute our successful outcomes to the professionalism and hard work of our staff, our can-do attitude, and our consistent focus on literacy, numeracy and student engagement and wellbeing.
