Forrestdale Primary School is a metropolitan school which draws a significant proportion of its clientele from its surrounding semi- rural area. At the end of the current building program, the school will consist of: a fully equipped Resource Centre, a well equipped 3 classroom Early Childhood centre, 8 classrooms, a combined Music/ Visual Arts centre, an air-conditioned undercover area, netball & basketball court, 3 adventure playgrounds & an oval. The Library Resource Centre has a Learning Technologies area, which includes 27 networked computers to complement those in classrooms. Forrestdale runs specialist programmes in Music, Art, Italian, & P.E. Forrestdale is a small school that has many talented students and offers innovative programs. It has a Senior & Junior Choir. Instrumental music is a feature with the opportunity for upper primary students to learn guitar or clarinet. At Interschool Carnivals Forrestdale has repeatedly won many shields and competitions competing against much larger schools.
