South Coogee Primary was founded in 1921. In the relocated school, collaborative teaching and learning and Learning Technologies feature. It has a strong focus on Environmental responsibility. The school population is 420. Programs include Visual Arts, Music, Instrumental music, Learning Technologies and Italian. The award winning Pastoral Care program ensures a commitment to values. The school has a Chaplain. School Council is actively involved in all aspects of school planning and monitoring performance.
