Located in the southern Perth suburb of Baldivis, approximately 46 kms from the city, Settlers Primary School is a new school that is growing on a tranquil hillside, surrounded by new homes. The second stage of Settlers PS was completed in April, 2008 and included four teaching blocks, specialist music room and specialist art/science room. Approximately 60% of the student population has migrated from the United Kingdom. The current student population is approximately 800. Settlers Primary School has a strong curriculum focus based on the Outcomes and Standards Framework, the Syllabus and First Steps. Specialist programs offered include Indonesian, Art, Music and Physical Education. Our Pastoral Care Program is based on the Kidsmatter Program which includes The Quest 4 Values guidelines. Every classroom has an interactive whiteboard. Excellent parent / teacher support is enjoyed through the open door communication policy. Through partnerships with the local community and volunteers, we have been able to implement the Support-A-Reader program and Toddler Reading. The P & C is extremely active. The School Council is also fully operational.
