West Busselton Primary School was built in 1965. It is a linear style school located close to Geographe Bay in Busselton. The school's student intake area covers the coastal strip from the town centre to Holgate Road. In recent years the intake area has expanded and now includes areas to the south of Bussell Highway. The school's grounds are a feature, with large areas shaded by peppermint trees. The school's enrolment has gradually been declining, though in 2009/10 there has been a significant increase in enrolments. Students are at the centre of all that occurs at West Busselton Primary School. The school provides a contemporary K - 7 education with specialist staff in LOTE, Drama and Physical Education. Our annual Drama production presents an opportunity for students to display their drama skills before large audiences. As well, talented and gifted students are catered for with an array of projects and themes that enable these students to further demonstrate their skills. A speech and language program is in place to support students who may require assistance in the early years. The school has a very active P & C Association, that provides the students with extra resources.
