Weld Square Primary School was opened in 1970 and maintains a reputation as a friendly community orientated school. A strong emphasis on quality curriculum delivery encourages all students to achieve personal academic excellence. The curriculum is delivered by experienced and motivated teachers with a whole school focus on Literacy, Numeracy and Science. The school has a unique environmental education program and utilises the surrounding natural bushland as an outdoor learning area. The curriculum is underpinned by a strong pastoral care program which is delivered whole school via the Values /Virtues and Bluearth Programs and supported by the School Chaplain. The school has an enrolment of 175 (K-7) students. The school community is very multicultural with over 30 different nationalities represented. This has included short stay overseas students. The majority of the students are drawn from the local area. Located within the North Metropolitan Education Region; the school is only 10kms from the Perth GPO and close to all public transport systems. The school has extensive play areas, sporting oval, cricket nets, basketball, netball courts, and a new spacious undercover area.
