Morley Primary School is located in an inner city area approximately 6km from the CBD. The first room was built in 1934 in Walter Road and re-located to its current site. This room now has semi-heritage status and is used as the canteen. The current School building was established in 1951 and caters for approximately 200 pupils. The School has an on-site Kindergarten and classes from Pre-primary to Year 7. The School achieves high results in NAPLAN, MSE, and in competitions such as the Australian Mathematics and the Mandarin Speaking Competitions. There is a music specialist and an instrumental music program is offered to senior students. A physical education specialist provides a focus on health and well-being of students and staff. Magnificent grounds have enabled the School to host the Interschool Athletics Carnival and an Interschool Volleyball Carnival (now in its 18th year). The majority of staff have been at the School for a number of years and this has enhanced the stability of the School and the professionalism and quality of the teaching program. The parent community (P&C and School Council) are most supportive of School activities and proud of the many successes.
