At South Ballajura Primary School we focus on the provision of an environment which is intellectually, socially and physically supportive of learning. The School is in Ballajura, a suburb of Perth, WA. We cater for K-6 students; including families from South East Asia, India, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Australia. The school has 578 students enrolled in 2011. South Ballajura PS provides English as a Second Language (ESL) support. Additional staff support student learning and provide a communication link to parents. The Campus also accommodates the South Ballajura Education Support Centre which caters for students with special needs. The school's integration policy allows ESC classes to combine with mainstream classes. The campus has a school chaplain who actively supports the whole school community. South Ballajura Primary School has a strong focus on quality teaching and learning programs in literacy and numeracy; supported by a Getting it Right Literacy teacher. Students at SBPS also benefit from specialist programs in Music, Visual Art, Indonesian and Physical Education. There is a strong emphasis on programs for Talented and Gifted Students.
