Hampton Park Primary is a suburban school with a total enrolment from Kindergarten to Year 7 of 400, coming from a rich and diverse cultural background. The school buildings are of two distinct types. The older section of building is constructed on a traditional plan which was commenced in the early nineteen fifties and added to over the years. The attractive and expansive grounds of the school provide an excellent venue for sport, play and exploration alike. A major focus is for high standards of student achievement. At Hampton Park PS we achieve this by motivating and engaging the students and workforce, and maintaining an inclusive, safe and stimulating learning environment During 2004 the school achieved national recognition for its exemplary work in the area of values education. Its involvement in the National Safe Schools Framework and subsequent nomination to the National Quality Schools acknowledges the school's success. The school also runs a number of special programmes, including a circus troupe, choir and drama club.
