Monkland State School is set within gorgeous school grounds. The school values excellence within each student's individual teaching and learning journey, and creates a positive support environment to meet individual potentials. The school has a small school ethos that allows for staff to focus on the individual needs of families and students within a caring and close knit community. The school provides full access for all students to all Key Learning Areas of the curriculum and extends students' engagement with high order thinking skills. Students within the school have a broad range of sporting strengths that are supported through regular engagement in community sporting activities, as well as a highly competitive track and field team. Students from Year 3 are able to engage with the school strings program, if they demonstrate supported commitment and engagement. Our current instrumental students have enjoyed a wide range of success within the local community.Our parent community has a very strong Parents and Citizens group, that regularly meets and is an avenue for parents to participate in school decision making processes and engage with the school.
