At Willaura Primary School we focus on empowering our students to become active and effective community members. We model, promote and foster a strong sense of values such as humour, belonging, respect, resilience and self discipline. Willaura Primary School is a rural school located 37kilometers south of Ararat. The enrollment is 47 students. This school has 6 staff; 1 principal, 3 teachers and 2 educational support staff. Students are provided opportunities to achieve at their optimum level in all areas but more importantly literacy, numeracy, health, physical/sport education and interpersonal development. Parents, community and School Council play a vital role. Building works have transformed the school into a flexible teaching and learning system to better cater for all students. With purchases of additional netbooks/laptops, each student will have access to learning anywhere, anytime. Students have opportunies to conduct many responsible tasks inside and outside the classroom to develop their leadership, initiative, effective communication, problem solving, creative thinking and planning/organising skills, nurtured by caring and professional staff.
