Good Shepherd Catholic School is a Kindergarten to Year 6 primary school located 20 minutes north east of Perth servicing the suburbs of Beechboro, Kiara, Caversham and the surrounding areas. The school has a strong multicultural history and a tradition of providing a warm welcome to new members of our community, especially those new to our country. Our school offers a full curriculum with special emphasis on Religious Education, Literacy, Mathematics and Science. In 2011 the primary curriculum focus area will be Mathematics which will result in a complete review of the teaching methodology, resources and the support programs. In 2009 a partnership with Holy Cross College, Ellenbrook resulted in the creation of a Gifted and Talented program for the identified students; with a school based complimentary program commencing in 2010. The school is supported by a very vibrant parent body that has ensured the school has excellent facilities and resources. The vision statement of the school is that "Good Shepherd Catholic School is a community growing together in faith based on the model of Jesus Christ. We are guided by the traditions and beliefs of the Catholic Church. We strive to foster the development of the total child, integrating faith, life and culture".
