Takari Primary School is situated in the suburb of Balcatta in the West Coast Education District and is set amongst sprawling sporting fields, urban bushland and shady trees. The school population is drawn from a diverse ethnic community, in particular Southern Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Once a week a number of students have access to the visiting English As A Second Language (ESL) team. The school comprises three Primary teaching blocks comprising ten (10) air conditioned teaching areas with a central wet area for art, cooking and associated activities. The school also has a music and a physical education room and a state of the art computer laboratory. The pre-compulsory classes are housed in purpose built classrooms.
