Cornerstone Christian College is situated in Busselton, in the beautiful south-west region of Western Australia. The College commenced in 1986 as a ministry of Cornerstone Church of Christ, and since those early days, has become the educational institution of choice for approximately 400 students and their families. We cater for students from Pre-Kindergarten through to Year 12. In addition to the academic necessities, the College aims to model and integrate Christian values and beliefs into every aspect of a Cornerstone education. Our foundation is based on Biblical principles, and this is the basis for every decision made, as well as being our inspiration for the future. Cornerstone rigorously pursues academic excellence and we celebrate the success of our students in this area. Partnered with this, is the belief that each student is unique. In recognition of the different needs of students, the school seeks always to 'throw the lifeline of learning just beyond the child'. For example, those who excel in academia must be challenged and this is done through a range of strategies, including the provision of extension programs. Likewise, those in their primary years who find their studies more challenging are supported and encouraged to reach their own personal best with help from our Learning Support Centre. Our class sizes are set lower than many schools offer. Having great teachers working with smaller classes is a priority at Cornerstone. As part of our pursuit of academic excellence, the College offers a number of quality programs across a range of subjects. Media, Information Technology and Outdoor Education are particularly strong areas at Cornerstone, but our students excel in a number of fields. They have performed well in an international on-line mathematics testing program; our Arts program has produced award winning results, and a number of students have represented regional Western Australia in a range of sports.
