St Brigid's Learning Community is one of two Catholic primary schools in the Gisborne Parish. It is a small co-educational school, situated in the semi-rural township of Gisborne, approximately 60 km from Melbourne. The school was established in the mid 1850s by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. It maintains a strong commitment to St Brigid's values of justice, compassion and education for all. We offer a welcoming, friendly and nurturing environment built on mutual respect which aims to develop the whole child. The faith development of all members of our community is a vital aspect of our mission. Through church doctrine and tradition, real life experiences, rich spiritual opportunities and our family based sacramental program, students and their families are encouraged to develop, practise and live out their faith.
