Middle Ridge State School is situated on the southern and expanding boundary of Toowoomba on the Darling Downs. This growing and complex urban Band 9 P to 7 school has a population of approximately 690 students from a range of rural and residential socio-economic groups. Middle Ridge is an IDEAS school with an ethos based around qualities which underpin all aspects of our operation. These qualities include Honesty, Respect, Kindness, Self-discipline, Social Justice, Learning and Co-operation and are embedded in quality teaching and learning by experienced and dedicated teaching staff in a wide range of quality curricular, extra curricular, academic, cultural and sporting programs. The school is administered by a non-teaching Principal and Deputy Principal. The school has 32 classrooms with a teaching staff of 40 full and part time teachers, Support Teacher for Learning Difficulties, Librarian, Music Teacher, Physical Education Teacher, Instrumental Teachers, LOTE teacher (Chinese) and Special Education Teacher. The school also has a Guidance Officer(0.5), an Advisory Visiting Teacher for Speech, Physical Impairment and ESL as well as a range of ancillary staff and accredited voluntary teacher aides.
