West Moreton Anglican College is a progressive and dynamic co-educational institution situated on a beautiful 38 hectare semi-rural campus, only minutes from Ipswich in Queensland's south-eastern growth corridor. The College offers an extremely broad range of specialist academic and vocational education subjects which allows students to tailor their learning program to their individual needs and aspirations. From 2011 the College curriculum will be delivered within the context of the Dimensions of Learning teaching and learning framework, ensuring an integrated and well-sequenced program for all students and a focus on higher order thinking skills. Our students have a strong record of academic, cultural and sporting achievement with many past and current students succeeding at district, state and national level in a range of activities including debating, leadership, literature, music and sport. The College provides a wide variety of opportunities, some of which are unavailable to most students in Queensland schools: an extremely broad Queensland Studies Authority curriculum divided into three programs; Junior School (Preparatory to Year 6), Middle School (Years 7 to 9) and Senior School (Years 10 to 12); extension programs in English Literature and Music Performance; over 40 sports and activities; a School of Soccer Excellence; a college farm; a sequential outdoor education program; and an extensive Vocational Education and Training Program.
