Our focus is on a fully integrated school from Prep through to Year 7 characterized by an academic focus, flexible teaching/learning environments, quality curriculum, productive pedagogies, authentic assessment and timely reporting. A networked learning community employs internal and external information and communication technologies. A supportive school environment is provided for all students with an emphasis on every student receiving support to achieve her/his true potential. There is a wide range of curricular and extracurricular opportunities including music (choral and instrumental), information and communication technologies, Intercultural Studies and a strong interschool sports program. Our school curriculum reflects the latest in research. Our school community continually seeks to reflect on the performance of the school and the learning outcomes of its students. Our school is a school that seeks to reinvent itself where necessary in light of reviews of its performance. The school has a very strong commitment to professional development. Over the last year, we have introduced an early years and middle years literacy squad. The focus of this group to improve reading accuracy and comprehension. In addition to this the middle years have received targeted literacy and numeracy. The early years have also had a targeted intervention in writing and number. Analysing children's performance to inform teaching practice is a driving force in our school's focus. The school is reflective on its performance striving to look at the best ways to meet the needs of its diverse learners. In 2010, we also introduced a science specialist in both the early years and middle years. Classes are taken in the new science and technology laboratory. A new hall and extension to the library has enabled greater variety in curriculum delivery to occur.
