Edgewater Primary School's ethos is the provision of a caring environment that encourages students to strive for excellence in all aspects of their academic and personal development. Situated in the northern suburb of Edgewater, the school is located close to the City of Joondalup. In this family oriented community, students are motivated to learn and parents are supportive of the school. The school commenced in 1983 and currently has 480 enrolments with a cohort of experienced teachers, support staff and Chaplain. The buildings are fully air conditioned and surrounded by shaded gardens, ample play areas, an undercover area and canteen. The School has up to date computer technology with broadband internet connection and a fully automated library resource centre. The specialist programs include Visual Arts, Languages Other Than English (Indonesian), Physical Education and Music. Other programs offered include instrumental tuition in clarinet and trumpet. Edgewater Primary School has an involved Parents' and Citizens' Association and School Council. Parents are encouraged to be involved in and to maintain formal and informal contact with their child's teacher
