Holy Rosary School is a Catholic school and was blessed and opened 1959. The school was staffed by the Sisters of the Dominican Order and their association with the school continues to today. The first classes catered for Years 1, 2 and High School Year 7. Today Holy Rosary caters for girls and boys from Three Year Old Kindergarten to Year Six with two classes at each year level and a total enrolment of 503 students. Most children attend Newman College in Churchlands for their secondary education. Holy Rosary is a Community Parish School and has enjoyed wonderful support from the parents and the community throughout its history. The school is well resourced with excellent facilities including a variety of play areas for children, extensive shaded and outdoor covered areas and a gymnasium. There is a strong focus on ICT with a fully networked computer system with a dedicated ICT Lab. Each of the classes has an interactive whiteboard which is used extensively by the staff and children. The school offers a diverse curriculum covering all core areas as well as a range of co-curricular and extra curricula activities in the arts and sport. The school also has a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy development.
