St Augustine's School is a Catholic co-educational primary school comprised of 245 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school was established in 1952, by the Sisters of Mercy. In 1956 the Presentation Sisters took over the operations of the school. At St Augustine's we believe that learning is a life-long process for children, staff and parents. We acknowledge that each of us is unique and that we learn in a variety of ways and at different rates. We endeavour to provide a stimulating and rigorous academic program focusing on literacy, numeracy and religious education. A wide variety of pastoral and sporting activities is provided for children to participate. The student population is a rich tapestry of cultures. Our inclusive educational philosophy ensures that all student educational needs are catered for. A broad range of specialist programs are offered across the year levels. These include Music, Physical Education, Information Technology, Bluearth, Chinese and Italian. Building student resiliency and a future focussed approach to informational technology implementation are key areas. St Augustine's prides itself on maintaining strong links between the family, school and the parish, fostering this through regular participation in community events.
