Our Lady's Assumption School, Dianella, is a Catholic co-educational primary school comprising 467 students from Pre Kindergarten to Year Six. The school vision is to foster a living faith, based on truth, where the potential and dignity of the individual is respected and nurtured in an environment of trust. The school seeks to foster faith formation through word and example and to provide an atmosphere which promotes dignity and respect for all, a supportive environment which encourages each child to develop as a confident, independent learner and to nurture their spiritual, social, physical, intellectual and emotional needs. The school offers specialist classes in Italian, Music, Library and Physical Education and has a school choir and school band. It participates actively in the Performing Arts Festival each year and has a Perceptual Motor Program in the Early Childhood years and also participates actively in Intra and Inter School sporting activities. The school's literacy and numeracy program is based on RAISe philosophies and has won a National Merit Award for Literacy and Numeracy. Presently it has a Science focus and is implementing the Primary Connections program in this subject.
