Kalamunda Primary School is situated in the Hills area of the Perth Metropolitan area. The school has extensive grounds with various play areas and a large oval. It is equipped with a multi purpose hall, specialised art room, a well-resourced library, a multi purpose undercover area and a canteen. Recognised in the community as having a safe, stimulating environment the school caters for students from K to year 7. Students are offered a comprehensive learning program and enjoy specialist programs in Music, Instrumental Music, LOTE (Indonesian) and Visual Arts. Information, Communication Technology is integrated across learning areas. Emphasis is placed on developing students' knowledge, skills and attitudes consistent with the values and outcomes articulated in the Curriculum Framework. Harmonious and valued relationships exist between the school and the community with an active parent body supporting the direction of the school. Parents participate in their child's education with many parents supporting class room and extra-curricula activities. A Chaplain and volunteer community mentors support the pastoral care offered in the school.
