Kruger State School, established in 1978, proudly services Redbank Plains, Goodna, Bellbird Park and Collingwood Park. The community is culturally and economically diverse. Approximately 990 students attend in Years Prep to 7. Our emphasis is on Literacy and Numeracy achievement for all students. Programs promote consistency within and across year levels. Classrooms offer an environment rich in active and investigative learning with an emphasis on team work, thinking skills and life long learning skills. We also have a highly regarded reputation in sports with championships in rugby, soccer and basketball. Our motivating and engaging year 4 to 6 visual arts program develops and extends students' talents. We have junior and senior bands participating in camps, eisteddfods and community events. Our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support program is based on our three expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Best Effort. Weekly focussed lessons teach the social skills necessary to be successful students and citizens. We strongly encourage parent participation through Parents and Citizens, Presentation Days, Awards Days, weekly assemblies, sports carnival, NAIDOC Day, special events and by meeting with the teachers.
