Bunker's Hill State School is a community which values courage, respect, honesty and learning. Bunker's Hill has been serving the community of Westbrook and surrounds since 1899, and has a proud history of being a welcoming school that strives to bring out the best in its students. Students are active in a range of academic, sporting and cultural pursuits, and have enjoyed continued success in these fields. Students have earned high distinctions, distinctions and credits in national academic competitions, and the school consistently surpasses state averages in the majority of areas of the national Years 3, 5 and 7 Tests. School teams regularly participate in interschool sports, and a number of students have represented the Darling Downs at State Titles. The school choir has competed in local Eisteddfods, and performed at cultural events such as Toowoomba's Spring TYME festival. The school has a well-developed Learning Support program, which strives to ensure that all students are given the support they need to succeed. Bunker's Hill encourages responsible behaviour and responsibility for actions, and fosters tolerance, understanding, and a willingness to resolve differences.
