Established in 1875, Clunes Primary School 1552 offers our students in Years Prep to Six a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment and diverse, engaging curriculum. We provide high quality, whole school educational programs ensuring all students achieve their potential. During 2010, we maintained an enrolment of 128 students and anticipate enrolment growth in the future. The school is extremely well-resourced and our buildings have been superbly renovated, providing students with a state-of-the-art facility in heritage buildings. Our core business is student learning, underpinned by student well-being. We aim to challenge students physically, emotionally and cognitively. We encourage every student to be the best that they can be and actively contribute to their community. School Council has made substantial investments in electronic learning technologies. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and access to a range of netbooks, notebook and desktop computers. Students participate in numerous multi-media projects each year. Staff actively promote sustainability. Students have access to an extensive vegetable garden and regularly learn to cook with fresh produce. Our use of energy, water, waste production, recycling and biodiversity are regularly reviewed by students. This year we received a Regional Schools' Gardens Award. Students are also provided opportunities to to learn musical instruments, perform in musicals, participate in sporting activities and the RACV Energy Breakthrough event.
