Ipswich West State School has been proudly serving the community of Ipswich since 1861. Here, students feel success, have positive self image, excel and confidently master new skills. Our Prep to Year 7 curriculum established using the Essential Learnings of the Key Learning Areas, including German, is augmented with gifted and talented, early intervention strategies and learning and special needs support. Classroom teaching programs are balanced and innovative but never lose sight of the foundations of English and Mathematics. Our school is active in the community participating in Anzac Day, eisteddfod competitions and local sporting competitions.
