St Peter Julian Eymard is a Catholic parish primary school serving the needs of the children of the Mooroolbark Parish with the vision 'Spirit-filled people, working together on a journey of learning, embracing life and creating our future'. The current school, an amalgamation of two schools, was built and opened in 1991 and is sited on approximately 5 acres with numerous play areas and playground equipment. All buildings are modern, functional, well maintained and constantly being upgraded. An extensive building program is being conducted to complement our existing high quality facilities. Education in faith for students, parents and staff is our priority. The school has a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, religious education and student well-being with staff designated to co-ordinate these programs across the school. Support and enrichment programs are provided. The school is divided for programming purposes into four levels. These levels match the VELS levels used in a primary school and consist of Preparatory level, Junior Level, Middle Level and Senior Level classes. Enrolments remain fairly steady around 480-490 students with a demand on places in Prep.
