St Agnes Catholic Primary School, located 12 klms from the CBD of Brisbane, was established by the Catholic parish and the Sisters of St Joseph in 1962 and has developed a wonderful partnership and respect within the diverse local community. St Agnes has a strong commitment to literacy and numeracy as well as to the arts through art, music (school musical) and dance. Teachers develop real contexts for learning such as our no-dig gardens, environmental education, frog pond, robotics and Asian studies. There is a strong focus on ensuring that curriculum reflects the development and diversity of learners through adapting the pedagogy in the early years, the junior years and middle schooling.
