Mt Maria College Petrie is situated in the Pine Rivers Shire, just north of Brisbane in South East Queensland. The College's mission is to provide quality inclusive education to approximately 200 students from Year 8 to Year 12. We do this by fostering and promoting an atmosphere of acceptance and a celebration of diversity. We value and nurture positive relationships built on trust and respect for the dignity of each individual. The College is situated in a bushland setting with expansive grounds and buildings spread over a large area. A unique feature of our College is the fact that each year approximately 30% of the student population has some form of formally-recognised learning need, as a result the majority of our classes are small with all class numbers under 25. We offer an excellent course of study in Years11 and 12 for all those students who do not wish to undertake an OP (Overall Position) pathway. Over the last five years we have entered into partnerships with many local businesses to improve career pathways for our students. All year 11 students run through the Young Achievement Australia Business program (YAA) and we are very proud of our results over these years including winning the prestigious Company of the Year Award in 2008.
