Riverdale School is a small school set in wooded grounds alongside the Little Para River. A strong sense of family and community are a feature of our culture. Since 2006, Riverdale School has been involved in a journey of continuous school improvement. This has seen the creation of a vision statement and identification of school values. Every child at Riverdale accesses a rich and balanced curriculum across the eight required areas of learning. Students and staff engage in quality learning programs in an environment promoting respect, excellence and understanding. Agreed behaviours and the use of high-yield strategies in teaching ensure our high expectations in curriculum and culture are achieved. A special small setting caters for students with forms of impairment; visual, intellectual or sensory (Autism). Priorities at Riverdale School are literacy, numeracy and physical well-being. As a result Riverdale School has been acknowledged as a high performing school in the Premier's Be Active and Reading Challenges.
