Seaton Park Primary School is situated in the western suburbs and has a diverse community of around 200 students comprising a wide range of nationalities. Seaton Central is on site and provides community programs and support for families with young children. The school aims for all students to reach their full potential in an enriched, collaborative, supportive environment. Our values of relationships, enjoyment, empowerment and learning are reflected throughout the curriculum. The state curriculum framework is provided at all year levels. Focus areas include literacy, numeracy, student engagement and performing arts, 'as-is' data collection, interpretation and use. Support comes in the form of early-intervention and coordination programs, a learning assistance program, negotiated education plans, early assistance, and individual and group support for students. A beginning-of-year values program and weekly community groups (for student voice) are recent initiatives. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and computers, as does the resource centre. We also have a computer room. Out-of-school hours sport programs are run with the support of parents and caregivers.
