Toogoolawah State High School provides co-educational, public, secondary level education services for Years 8 to 12 to the rural towns and districts of the Upper Brisbane River Valley. Our School strives to provide the best opportunities for our students to develop their potential for active and responsible participation in society. Our learning community is committed to: developing a safe, tolerant and disciplined environment; successful and lifelong learning; holistic development of student's academic, social, sporting and cultural capacities. Senior Secondary learning options are broad for a school of our size. All subjects other than English and Maths are composite classes across Years 11 and 12, and we have the capacity to provide virtual schooling opportunities. VET and SATS are well supported by students and local businesses. Our partnership with the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE enables students to engage in Certificate II Rural Skills. Our Junior Secondary curriculum incorporates the new National Curriculum. We provide successful learning opportunities, in a manner that is consistent with recent research on effective adolescent learning. Successful learning is the responsibility of all at our School and it is our focus to assist and support successful and improved learning outcomes for all our students.
