New Gisborne Primary School provides a high-quality, balanced and challenging curriculum that allows students to perform to the best of their ability in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation. Our school is located in a semi-rural environment and offers our 419 students an attractive, safe and stimulating learning environment complemented by a recent major building upgrade incorporating new classrooms, library, gymnasium and a music room. We have a well-deserved reputation for high academic achievement across all curriculum areas. This includes a variety of extension programs, both within and beyond regular classrooms. We are strongly committed to the development and integration of ICT across the curriculum. Students have regular access to a purpose-built computer suite comprising 28 computers. The school also has a Netbook Project with all Year Six students leasing a laptop. As a 5 Star Sustainable School we pride ourselves on the curriculum and physical measures we put in place to support the environment, while our 'Kitchen Garden' project is an ongoing commitment to sustainability, health and well-being.
