Woodend Primary School is a dual campus school with an annexe at Carlsruhe, 7 kilometres north of Woodend. Year 4 students spend four days per week at the annexe, engaging in a curriculum focusing on sustainability, environmental awareness and animal husbandry. With a total current enrolment of 371, Woodend Primary School is well-resourced and provides a broad and comprehensive curriculum, delivered by dedicated and experienced staff. Student achievement outcomes are consistently above expectation in many areas of the curriculum and the school continually aims for the highest quality of teaching and learning. A feature of the school is the comprehensive instrumental music program with well over one third of students learning a musical instrument and many being involved in groups, ensembles and the local community strings orchestra, Resonance.
