St Joseph's is a small Catholic systemic school serving the rural community of Uralla in the Diocese of Armidale. The mission of the school centres around providing quality education strengthened by the Catholic tradition and enhanced by the core values of love, respect and acceptance. The school has a strong community focus and provides opportunities for children to participate in ANZAC Day, Thunderbolt's Festival, Uralla Show, Get Off Your Arts Festival and various charitable events. St Joseph's has funded students who receive expert tuition from our dynamic and dedicated staff. The school has a number of welfare programs in place evolving from our discipline, pastoral care and child protection policies. The school is well equipped for ICT with Smartboards and ample computers in each room. St Joseph's provides sporting and cultural activities for all its students. The school participates in diocesan sports programs and is especially successful in athletics. The school actively promotes opportunities for athletes with disabilities with medals being won at state and national level. The school participates in the local eisteddfod, community art shows and has its own annual children's art show and musical production. A number of our students' artworks have been chosen as finalists in regional and state art competitions. The school's physical facilities have been greatly enhanced recently by completion of our all-weather basketball/netball court and undercover walkways. This has been further enhanced by the completion of our school hall/library which was funded through the Australian Government's BER scheme. This school is part of a system of schools in the Catholic Diocese of Armidale.
