In 2010 the school's population, of approximately 167 students, represented a diverse range of socio-economic, cultural and language backgrounds. Fifteen teachers (12.5 FTE) provided comprehensive programs in all the domains of the VELS with an emphasis on English and Mathematics across the curriculum. Small class sizes facilitated the development of positive student teacher relationships and differentiation of learning programs. Specialist programs in LOTE (Italian), Music, Visual Arts were provided for all students on a weekly basis. Student learning and wellbeing were enhanced by additional programs including intervention and enrichment, Reading Recovery, camping, swimming, interschool sport, Bounceback, Peer Support, Better Buddies, special event days, performances, excursions and Junior School Council. The school also provided transition programs from Kindergarten to Prep as well as from Year 6 to 7. Seven (3.9 FTE) Education Support Staff members undertake a range of support services including administration, integration teacher aides and library technician. During Semester 2 the school underwent its scheduled review which provided feedback on performance and suggested future directions. The following goals were established for the School Strategic Plan 2011-2014: To improve student learning outcomes in both Literacy and Numeracy. To provide a safe and stimulating learning environment that develops students who are engaged and resilient with a sense of belonging to a range of communities. To ensure a seamless transition into and through the school.
